THANKS FOR DRIVING SAFE AND SOBER

So today was Friday the 13th and also happened to be the day we (me and a few of the coworkers) went out on the streets with the NZ Police and the Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) group from one of the high schools we work with. We got to assist and observe as the police set up and ran a compulsory alcohol breath testing checkpoint. If the drivers tested with no alcohol, we gave them a chocolate to reward and reinforce their safe driving behaviors. If they tested with alcohol, they had to pull over and go through the process with the police.

The SADD group was great and really embraced the project. I hope it helps them stay sober and promote safe driving.

Just one example of the type of activities I get to do for a living!
